Nice little Cafe with good coffee and South African dishes. Highly recommend the South African breakfast that comes with proper boerewors (South African style sausage) and the red cappuccino made with strong rooibos tea. Staff are really friendly and enjoy some Afrikaans banter and greetings.

The Hide is the fourth coffee caffee (sic) I've visited in Tewkers and is the best so far. Mr. Stingy (that's me, that is) can't quite offer that elusive fifth star, only given to the best of the best, but they came awfully close to the full house. Lovely latte with a equally nice swirly on the top. The scone (don't forget, rhymes with don) was tasty, tasty, very very tasty, with a generous dollop each of clotted cream and jam. Please don't gimme any of that guff about which goes on the scone first, they all dissappear into the same orifice. Rumour has it that they offer a nice line in South African cuisine. Snap those horns off a Springbok and stick it between two slices of bread. Also worth noting that they're dog (woof! woof!) friendly. Extremely pleasant staff who didn't spit on me, far from it, they were all very courteous and efficient. Deffo worth popping in if you want a snacklet and drinkage. Gi'em a go!

Very nice South African cafe. Dog friendly and super nice team. Beef sandwich is so fresh and tasty. Good cake selection. The lamington cake is the best I had in UK.

We loved this little cafe while visiting Tewkesbury. It is charming, welcoming and has so much character and great service. We tried the traditional South African dish and a vegetarian option. Paired with great coffee and perfect service. Great place for breakfast or brunch!

Was looking for somewhere to eat on a Mothers Day that wouldn’t be rammed in Tewkesbury. Found this little gem of a cafe/coffee house The Hide. A South African run place. This Bobotie was the best I have tasted and so was the mocha. The service was fabulous and the cafe was tastefully decorated with African memorabilia. While I didn’t partake this time, the cakes looked incredible. Highly recommend for a taste of something different.

It's a gem in North Cotswold. We are really pleased that we found this cafe on our last day in Tewkesbury. The staff were really nice to accommodate our group of nine in their cozy cafe. The food is excellent, the cake is lovely. The owners were very friendly and cheerful.

Lovely little coffee shop, due to covid the shop is on a reduced menu but still a delightful selection to tempt anyone's needs and all food is cooked to order! This shop has an amazing selection of cakes at a reasonable price to compliment a hot beverage. I chose to try there lemon cake which as soon as you looked at it, you knew it would be moist and tasty. I will be coming back to sample there other delicacies. So if your in Tewkesbury, pop on down and have a slice of cake and a cuppa and enjoy the historic scenes of Tewkesbury.

What a great place to find in Tewkesbury a nice relaxing atmosphere great host's to. A good selection of coffee and tea also cold drinks straight from the chiller just what's needed after a lot of walking in the sun. I had some house made cake of which there were several to choose from. I had a normal cup of tea to make the combination complete. Well I certainly was surprised as it was delicious not too sweet washed down with a refreshing cup of tea. Yummy. If you're in Tewkesbury go look them up they're near the Abbey. Everything they do at The Hide has an ethical and/or an environmental story to it. They were helpful and friendly like me you will want to go again
