Booked in for a single night when we were heading down from Yorkshire to visit family. We chose the Travelodge as they allow a dog in the room, and we didn't want to board our dog for our visit. The lodge is easily found and very convenient from the motorway, with a decent size car park to the front that is free to use for guests - no hidden charges like some of the others. Check in was easy and very friendly, and we were quickly directed to our room. The room itself was exactly what we were expecting - clean, tidy, in good repair and comfy. A decent enough size TV, well made bed with sufficient pillows, warm, dry and with no odd smells. Like all budget hotels the walls aren't super thick, but we had a great nights sleep with no disturbances from the neighbours. Breakfast in the morning was good - a nice buffet set out with a good selection of hot and cold food, that set us up for the day. All in all, this was the perfect place for us to get our head down for a few hours overnight to break up our journey and keep the distance manageable for our onward journey. For the price, there's nothing to fault here, and I'd have no hesitation in booking again. Rooms: Good size room, nice comfy bed, plenty of pillows and a good temperature. Bathroom was clean and hygienic, well supplied and everything worked.

My wife booked this hotel to break our journey going South, and also so we could stop at Gloucester Services to visit the farm shop. It was only £35 for the one night, so I did not expect much. I was surprised. Clean, comfortable, …

Great location to visit Tewkesbury - Straight off the motorway but only mile or so out of town (Buses to Cheltenham and Gloucester from the top of the street too) - Ideal for dog owners or people who like to walk away from traffic, as there …

Convenient position to visit family in the area. Travelodge was warm and quiet and we slept well during the three nights we were there. Room was reasonable size and we were able to book twin beds. Staff were helpful.

Accessible room very spacious and nice bathroom (not too shallow like lots of accessible baths are). ||Unfortunately the room was dirty with sticky bedside tables and a thick layer of dust on the shelf (that cannot have been one missed …

Although the directions on the sat nav were correct, I felt I was in the wrong place as I was driving into what looked just like a dark industrial estate. A bit more signage would have been helpful. The room was fine but the shower was great as it had a seat in it. I loved that after a long drive. :-)

Room was dirty, there was 2 slugs above the window.....Dead.....kettle was dirty inside and out. There was no soap in the dispenser. Very outdated. Breakfast was lovely and staff didn't really speak to you. The MAIN reason we didn't complain was because my partner was on a business trip and that was the closest hotel but think for future a little bit out is definitely on the cards. Walkability: As said above it was the closest to his work

Really dirty. Surfaces sticky and dusty. Bedside shelves sloping downhill and sawdust on headboard etc. Only a sheet on the bed when we arrived late, so grabbed a duvet from cupboard but as it had no cover on it, had to protect it with the sheet. Don't think the room had been vacuumed. In the morning, saw the fresh linen ready for new beds, in the main corridor stacked on the dirty floor. Breakfast was a disaster, no cups or cutlery for ages, bowls and mugs filthy, think they need a dishwasher, or clean the dishwasher if they have one. Milk not cold, waited ages for hot food to be replenished. Main staff friendly, room if clean was a lovely size and looked like it had not long been painted. Would not recommend or stay again.

Do not stay in room 117. Possibly one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. The room had a strong smell of sausages and chip grease which permeated throughout our bedsheets and clothes. This was accompanied by the sheer racket from the hotel staff members who were sat on camping chairs laughing and smoking outside. As if that weren’t enough, we were awoken by a very loud beeping noise which significantly affected our ability to sleep soundly. Food wise, it is what it is. A standard breakfast spread which was nice enough, though the hash browns were so dry I almost cut my mouth on one of them. Some of the glasses were unclean as well. Despite the label, don’t bother asking for cocktails at the bar. The bloke serving us gave us a straight ‘no’, without any explanation or apology which was honestly a bit intimidating. Travelodge, I expected more from you.

Nice little room, clean, bed was quite comfortable. Bathroom was clean, thank goodness the window opened as it was hot in the room. There was no bath so thay was disappointing. The food at the hotel was not great, I can only recommend the margarita pizza as they was the only enjoyable meal. We avoided breakfast due to this, the staff were really friendly. Location was good as it was pretty quiet, the only downside was the smell of weed from someone below wafting in through our window Food & drinks: Avoid the food
